Which Pixel Lineage trait should you keep?

By Pixel Lineage Field Guide · Checked

Keep Survivor when a conditional safety net helps, Arcane Spark for a magic-focused opening, or Quick Study for growth. Prodigy is rare and broad, but that alone is not a reason to discard a useful talent.[1]

The useful answer

Choose the benefit you need now, then set your spin budget. With the source-listed 1% Prodigy rate, 10 independent spins give about a 9.6% chance of at least one result—not a guarantee.

The seven talents and listed chances below come from Yatin at MrGuider, updated October 14. This is a single-source summary, not a check of the current roll screen. Calculator results are conditional on the stated assumptions.

Pixel Lineage traits and listed roll chances

The game’s talent system is often searched as “traits.” Match the name on your current roll screen before using this list.[1]

TalentListed chanceReported benefitUseful when
Survivor30%Extra HP and a conditional once-per-battle survival effect.A safety net while learning.
Keen Eye22%Critical chance and dodge bonuses.A passive offensive/evasive boost.
Quick Study18%XP and class mastery bonuses.Progression rather than immediate defense.
Iron Soul14%Defense and a chance to resist debuffs.A defensive direction.
Arcane Spark10%Opening Energy and magic bonuses.A magic-focused kit.
Fortune’s Favor5%Gold, loot and jackpot bonuses.A resource-focused goal.
Prodigy1%Several combat stats plus XP and mastery.A broad but rare result.

All names, rates and benefit summaries in the table come from MrGuider.[1] It reports Survivor's survival effect as conditional: the character must have been above 20% HP. Do not read it as immunity to defeat.

What is worth keeping for your current run?

Keep a passive that solves a present weakness. If your problem is surviving another hit, extra resource gains do not directly answer it. If your character is already comfortable in combat and you are prioritizing growth, an XP or mastery benefit serves a different purpose.

For a magic direction, inspect Arcane Spark before burning more spins on a broad rare talent. For a defensive direction, compare Survivor's condition with Iron Soul's kind of protection. This is a choice between useful functions, not evidence that one talent produces the best damage in every class.

Plan your talent spins

Choose a target and the number of spins you are considering. The calculator estimates the chance of seeing that talent at least once. It does not add assumed codes, purchases or free spins to your budget.

Formula: 1 − (1 − p)n. Assumes independent rolls at a fixed rate with no pity or guarantee. Listed rates: MrGuider, October 14, 2026. No live game connection.

The seven source-listed rates add to 100%. That arithmetic does not prove that the live game has no pity, event adjustment or other rule. If the game shows a different rate or guarantee, this model needs different inputs. Your selections stay in this page; nothing is uploaded or saved.

Before you spend another talent spin

  1. Choose a keep condition. Decide what benefit is acceptable before rolling, so a useful result is not dismissed only for being common.
  2. Separate chance from certainty. Even 100 independent spins at 1% give about a 63.4% chance, leaving a real chance of no result.
  3. Use a stopping budget. Spending all available spins is a choice, not a requirement to make the current character playable.

Pixel Lineage traits are easier to choose when the goal is specific. Keep the passive that supports that goal; revisit the decision when the class, stage or game rules change.
