Pixel Lineage pets: hatch, inspect, then choose
Hatch eggs through the Ranch’s Hatchery, then inspect the companion’s skills before choosing your battle support. Adele Wilson’s Gamezebo guide reports one equipped pet, with abilities that can provide healing, Energy, damage or control.[1]
Choose the missing function first: Heal for HP, Energy Heal for skill resources, Electric for a stun chance, or an offensive skill for damage. A family’s potential ability pool does not mean every pet has every listed ability.

From an egg to a useful companion
Gamezebo places egg hatching at the Ranch’s Hatchery. It reports that equipped pets earn EXP in combat and are not attacked by enemies.[1]
- At the Ranch, inspect the egg and the hatching option shown in your current game.
- After hatching, read the individual pet’s ability list. Write down the function you actually gained before comparing it with a guide.
- Check which companion is selected for your next run. With one equipped slot reported, the decision is which pet helps this hero most.
Those checks matter more than collecting a name from a ranking. If an expected skill is absent, compare the pet’s actual abilities and unlock information first; a list of possible family skills is not a promise that this individual starts with all of them.

Choose support for the problem you have
The ability meanings follow Gamezebo; the “choose it when” column is our decision aid, not a measured pet ranking.[1]
| Ability | Reported function | Choose it when |
|---|---|---|
| Heal | Restores HP. | Health loss is the weakness you want to address. |
| Energy Heal | Adds Energy. | Your planned skill use needs more resources. |
| Electric | Can stun an enemy. | You value a chance of control rather than only damage. |
| Decoy | Offers a defensive distraction. | You want defensive support. |
| Attack / Savage | Stronger Bite / a Poison chance. | Your hero already survives and you want offense. |
Choose between two real companions by the skills they currently have. For example, a damage-focused hero struggling to stay healthy has a clearer reason to consider healing than to choose another attack effect solely for its rarity. If your hero already has enough sustain, that same choice may add less than a different function.
A support skill is not an every-turn guarantee
Gamezebo describes a Bite after your attack, one Charge gained, and an ability or stronger Pounce at three Charges.[1] That timing helps explain why “has Heal” should not be read as “heals whenever you take a hit.”
Plan your own defensive action using what is available now. A future charge action cannot substitute for reading the current enemy prompt, and a chance-based stun or Poison is not a guaranteed result. Watch the charge display and combat result in your current game before relying on an exact rotation.
Potential skills and actual skills are different
In Gamezebo’s listed pools, Avian and Aquatic can include both Heal and Energy Heal; Canine and Reptile can include Heal alongside offensive options.[1] These are starting points for inspection, not guaranteed hatch outcomes.
When comparing eggs, keep three questions separate: which family can supply the function, which abilities this hatch received, and which are currently usable. A family label answers only the first. Use the individual companion screen to answer the other two.
Before investing in another hatch or upgrade
- State the missing function. If the existing pet already does the job, a higher rarity alone is not an explanation for spending.
- Inspect current costs and locks. A hatching guide does not prove a fusion recipe, duplicate requirement or universal upgrade cap.
- Separate event availability from pet value. An event pet’s current purchase window needs a fresh check; this page does not establish a permanent Candy price.
If the weakness comes from the class or a talent, compare that choice too. A companion can complement a kit; this guide has no evidence that one pet makes every class equally strong.
